Welcome to St John the Baptist, Meopham with St Mildred, Nurstead
We hope that you enjoy exploring our website and that you will join us at one of the many events we have going on, including Sunday worship where there are a range of modern and traditional services.
St John the Baptist Church and St Mildred's Church are Anglican churches in the Diocese of Rochester, Deanery of Cobham and members of Meopham Churches Together.
St John's Church and Centre are right in the middle of Meopham village and we do our best to create and strengthen links with all members of the community. One key feature of this is the Friday afternoon Community Cafe in the St John's Centre, which has been in operation since September 2019. This is a friendly place for tea, home-made cakes and chat. There are regular visits from organisations providing help and advice.
We also participate in civic events, working closely with Meopham Parish Council, and regularly host visits by classes from local schools.

The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. Romans 13:9-10 21/02/2025
